the news was so bad again

I needed to go on you tube

to watch the old clips to see

you and michelle greet

the children hug the babies

offer a shoulder a lap shake

the smallest hands let those

tiny fingers feel your face pat

your hair make all of us smile

weep even to witness the way

we are meant to be together

in love in hope a family

oh god it seems so long ago
