all the news, all day—- guns, guns, guns 
it’s raining bullets—- ammo rounds
you can hear it blocks away
showering down from
the high rise hotel

nobody noticed him 
going in with a dozen rifles— 
huge suitcases full of high powered rifles— 
because of the gun shows every week—
gun shows where those

relentless richies sell death
always money to be made from fear—
ask the NRA— all the talk shows 
weaponizing fear    those godawful 
fat white radio guys shouting hatred fear hatred

all day long racism misogyny xenophobia
and never ever forget our Liberty and the Sacred 
Second which keeps us Free keeps us Safe keeps us 
Men Free White Men in The Greatest Country in the World 
the Prez leading keeping us all patriotic MAGA keeping mindless
class warfare going keeping angry envy going

no experts no knowledge no phony baloney
liberal shit allowed anymore drain the swamp
but prayer prayer prayer oh yes keep them in our 
prayers   all the talking heads and congressmen approve 
prayer—we pray for grieving families we grieve 

the grief counselors come on buses—
and they say all the things that must be said 
over and over because so many are dead and tomorrow 
again so many dead and the days go on of many, many dead— 
they won’t let us count them, they pass actual laws

against counting—and we march and we 
demonstrate and we call our senators  do again 
what has been done write letters hold vigils to no effect 
what so ever  it’s all just so—
