Aftermath, Watching Joe & Co.

Soft, thinning thatch atop our Old Guy

as he finally speaks out.  I brace myself,

dreading the likelihood that he blows it—

again.  Already the talking heads have 

established as fact*  his having left his

bully pulpit empty for most of his term.

Jill stands there beside Joe, as she does, 

in her blue cloth coat, long blond hair stirring 

in the January wind. We are in Week II of Trump 

Term II & he has just ‘joked’ about his eligibility 

for a third term —for him but not Obama.  On 

Friday of Week I came Trump Massacre I—

eighteen Inspectors General fired.  So already 

Trump has acted expeditiously upon Project 2025,

the poisonous Republican plan that will clear

the way for his Golden Age of Grift.  Uh,oh.

Massive market sell off of AI  & Trump cuts off

flow of Fed funds to the states.  Dems?

Kamala?  Get your coat on, Girl.  Get out there!
