They say my guy sure looked like handsome Brad—

I say they may have engaged in cliche—

but milkman Mike did drive the ladies mad.

To good looks and smooth moves, Mike could add 

practice on the best route any driver had.

Mike did not just look like handsome Brad.

They say Hollywood seasons a young man;

I say driving a good milk route also can.   

When I met him, Mike was no also-ran.

Pitt’s best box office moves were never sad 

nor jaded— his best bit was acting glad—

any grin as good as a promise from Brad.

Back in free delivery days, what we had

was milkmen and clinking bottles, wire clad, 

cases thumping on porches, no day all bad.

Might seem mere legend, but the lad

and his truck are some good luck stuck 

in memory: Mike gave it all he had.
