Good Cheer

 Good Cheer

Be of and for it.

Make it your business

to proclaim

and advance it.

You know

it will cost you.

Be open handed

nonetheless.

Pay the bill; pick up the tab

even when the table’s full.

Some will call you fool,

but you knew that.

Eyes wide,

know what you

are about.

Heart open, unironic,

magnanimous.

No bitterness nor spleen.

Health and strength attend

the generous and free,

and that’s what you’ll be.

Intentionally.
